TRIP REPORTS

REPORTS FOR 2008

Sunday Walk Report - July 2008

A select few met at Norsworthy Bridge on Dartmoor, on July 6th. with some trepidation as the day before had been particularly wet and windy. We did a circular walk taking in some of the antiquities of the moor; stone row, ancient settlements, Devonport leat, abandoned farmhouse, not so old railway track and of course a tearoom for much needed refreshment! Thankyou to Colin, Sophie, John and Trevor for your company.A very enjoyable jaunt. Colin climbed every tor we passed (5). We met Andy Bull in the cafe (he was cycling). And it only rained a couple of times, by the time anyone put on a jacket it had stopped. Looking forward to next walk.  Pat Fitz

May 2008 - Dartmoor
A fine day, good company and even a few pubs on the way; find out a little more by clicking the picture to view the report.
May 2008 - Glen Coe, Scotland
After the successful trip to Skye last year the club booked a hut in Glen Coe this year and dispite a lack of club members those that went appeared to enjoy a spell of fine weather; who says that it always rains in Scotland.  Click the picture for the full story.
May 2008 - Red Rocks, USA
Another fine adventure by David Coley to the USA even if there was only him it didn't stop the climbing, click the picture for some great pictures of a wonderful area.
